BOND
SIR GALAHAD (1966-1997) is the Sire of BOND NIMROD who is a Producer of
a National Champion Single Pleasure Driving Horse and of other Champions
such as BOND CHEERIO, BOND APOLLO, BOND BOOZER, BOND CHAUNCEY, and BOND
GALAHADS LEGACY. A few of his famous daughters who are the Dams of
several National Grand Champions are BOND ACUSHLA (Dam to BOND ATOY4U C)
and BOND THUMBALINA (Dam to BOND SNIPPET). Even though BOND SIR GALAHAD
and some of his sons and daughters were never shown, they have produced
Champions. BOND SIR GALAHAD was one of the most refined Miniature
Stallions in AMHA history and has the qualities that today’s breeders
are trying to achieve. When Mr. Bond owned BOND SIR GALAHAD, being his
favorite Stallion, pastured him in his front yard in Lavonia, Georgia.
After Mr. Bond’s death there was a Dispersal Sale in October 1992 where
people came from Coast to Coast to bid on his herd of 200 plus horses
being sold at an Auction. BOND SIR GALAHAD was sold to Bob and Janet
Lee of Hunt House Farms for $7,000 and what made this sale so remarkable
was that he was 26 years old and he was blind. Five years later in 1997
he had to be put down due to his failing health.
